Grouting is used in a wide area at work places in our houses, in short, wherever there are construction activities. Some wide usage areas of grouting can be listed as kitchen, bathroom, anteroom, pool or reverse. So what is epoxy grout?
Epoxy joint filler is a type of fast-applied, durable filler that is formed by the combination of two different components, including epoxy material. Epoxy fillers are generally preferred to fill gaps such as 2 mm to 15 mm. The most important advantage of this product is that it does not contain solvents, it is much easier to apply and clean. In addition, the resistance threshold is quite high compared to other filling types. Epoxy grouting uses are quite wide, including porcelain ceramics, glass mosaics or tiles. This type of filling can be used both indoors and outdoors.
Epoxy joint filler is a chemical used especially in areas where health and hygiene factors are at the forefront and therefore cement-based fillers are not preferred. At the beginning of these areas are areas such as food production areas, dining halls and kitchens, swimming pools or saunas.

Especially in winter, water entering between tiles, ceramics or concrete may freeze and cause the structure to deteriorate or crack. Epoxy filler is one of the first methods preferred to overcome these and similar joint problems. So, what are the stages of epoxy grouting? What should be considered when filling? First of all, before starting to apply the epoxy filler, it should be noted that the shelf life of the product has not been completed.
1. While preparing the grouting mix, only the components written in the instructions should be used, no external component should be added to the mix.
2. Care should be taken to ensure that the temperature in the area to be applied is between 5 and 30 degrees. If it is to be applied in a cold area, it should be kept at room temperature beforehand so that the filler can be applied comfortably.
3. Care should be taken that there is no lumping in the prepared mixture and that the prepared mixture is completely homogeneous.
4. The area where the epoxy grout will be applied should be cleaned from dirt and mud and moistened slightly.
5. Experienced personnel should be used to increase product efficiency, especially during the application of the filler.
